Welcome to Airlines! I know, I know, you're thinking-- yet another celeb game. We strive to create an open, friendly environment for those of you who know how to play nice, with available mods who will take care of issues you have and do our best to keep the crazies of the RP world at bay-- because we all know they're out there.
You should know the basic rules if you’re going to play here, but let’s just refresh them for those of you who don’t remember.
1. IC | OOC. That line is the most important thing here. Don’t cross it. Likewise, ICA = ICC. In character action equals in character consequence. Don’t do things and then cause a drama storm because you don’t like the consequences that come with what you did.
2. Keep the drama llamas in their pen where they belong. Seriously. Don’t let ‘em out. If you do, they get rampant, start ruining things, destroying the town and wreaking havoc, and nobody’s happy in the end. Keep the gate closed.
2b. On that note, please don’t do anything totally ridiculous. We do understand that for the sake of interaction, sometimes you have to stretch things and stray into AU territory so your characters can meet, and that’s all cool! The problem comes in when people do things like, for example, canceling tours-- it wouldn’t fly in RL, it probably won’t fly here either. Things like rape are also out of the question UNLESS it has happened to your celeb in rl. If not? Don’t do it.
3. Don’t puppet other people’s characters without permission. You are not Jim Henson. This is not the Muppet Show. Feel free to come to us and let us know if someone’s going to be taking over your kid for a while, or post in the ooc comm-- as long as we know, it’s cool. If you take control of someone’s character without permission and they come to us to complain about it, there will be consequences.
4. We have a three-strike policy here. Of course we won’t kick you out on the first offence, that would be ridiculous-- but you have two warnings and then you’re suspended for a short time depending on what the issue was. When the suspension’s up, you can come back-- again, three strikes, but then you’re out for good. Fortunately, we don’t think we’ll have to use this one much. :]
5. In order to play out major storylines-- marriage, pregnancy, et cetera.-- you must have mod approval! This is just to keep things from getting excessive; you know how sometimes if one couple does something, everybody else has to follow along? Yes, that. No miscarriages. Sorry. I know it happens in real life but more often than not, it’s used as a mechanism for pure drama and we don’t want that here.
6. There is no update limit here. However, you need to show activity in other ways. If you're not being active in the subcommunities and/or via AIM, preferably both, we'll warn you about it and you can either update or revise your activity. We understand real life, believe me, but sometimes enough is enough.
7. Hiatuses will be granted should you need them. The taken list post is where you should ask for those in order to be granted them. Posting in the ooc comm is nice and it lets everyone know why you’ve disappeared, but it’s easier for us mods to keep track of you if you drop us a line on the taken list. This is also where you should ask for things like screen name changes, removals, et cetera.
